Devicie’s macOS LAPS service handles the creation and maintenance of your Macs local administrator account. The password for the local account is unique to each device, updated regularly, and stored in Key Vault.
Our LAPS service is responsible for the following:
- ensuring that your Mac clients have a local administrator account
- for FileVault-enabled Macs, ensuring that the account is an authorised user
- regularly updating the account's password, storing it in KeyVault for secure retrieval
Both the username and the password change interval can be set according to your organisation's requirements.
