MacOS : Understanding Post-Enrollment Reboot in Devicie 

 

Overview: 

This is an Application deployed via Intune as a PKG

A post-enrollment reboot is required in order to enable FileVault and finalize enrollment. This app ensures that the device is ready for a reboot and prompts the user requesting that they do so.

The app confirms that the device is ready to be rebooted, by ensuring that the following conditions are met:
- Intune MDM Agent is installed.
- Company Portal is installed - if not found the app will download and install the latest version.
- FileVault Key Escrow profile has been deployed, to ensure that FileVault encryption is successfully enabled
- Location services and automatically detection of date and time is enabled

No action is carried out if the device has already rebooted since enrollment.

The device will prompt user to restart; no action will be taken without out user consent. 

Pre-Requisites:

Device joined to Intune and deployed as a supervised device.
