How to Offboard Devicie from a Microsoft Tenant
This is for when you want to offboard Devicie from Microsoft Tenant without Devicie support.
Before starting the steps in this article, we highly recommend that you open a case with Devicie support at https://app.devicie.com so that we can guide you through the steps of the process.
This article describes how to offboard an Intune tenant from Devicie. These instructions should only be used if you are removing the tenant permanently from being managed by Devicie.
There are two phases to offboard a tenant:
Phase One: Can be done by Devicie when requested. If API is removed Devicie support is unable to assist.
Phase Two: Will need to be done by Tenat admin.
Phase One: Removal of Devicie Apps
Go within the Intune portal (as an Admin) to Apps > Windows or directly through this link
On this page, remove the following two applications:
- Devicie Telemetry App
- Devicie Time Zone
Remove the apps by clicking on Properties and then in the > Assignments
Once inside properties scroll down to Assignments
Click the blue Edit button
Scroll down to the Required and Available sections and click on the 3 dots to the far right of any rows. Click "delete" to remove the assignments.
Under the Uninstall section, click the blue link for "Add all devices".
On the new row you've created, click on "Show all toast notifications" and change it to "Hide all toast notifications"
(this does not show end users notifications about the app being uninstalled)
Click ok at the bottom of the side menu
Click "Review and save" at bottom left of the screen
On the next screen, click "Save"
Once app is removed from all devices you can then delete the app
Go back to app and click overview and then delete
If API was not removed it can be done via the Devicie portal app
Repeat this process for the Devicie Time Zone app
Phase Two: Removal of Enterprise Applications (API access)
Here you will need to remove the 3 Devicie Enterprise Applications:
- Devicie Automation
- Devicie Dashboard
- Devicie Dashboard Backend
This needs to be done by a user with Global Administrator Role.
To remove the enterprise applications go to portal.azure.com
In the search bar at the top look for enterprise applications
Look up "Devicie" in the search bar. There should be 3 apps.
Click into each one
Click on "properties" on the left side panel (if you do not see properties click on "manage")
Click "delete"
Once the 2 windows apps are deleted and the 3 Enterprise applications are removed, open a case in the support portal at https://app.devicie.com so that we can complete the offboarding on our end. Devicie needs to make changes in the background to finalize the offboarding
